COO for ASTARRI in Horsens

ASTARRI is a privately held family of companies with selected critical shared functions and strong independent brands. The core is within lighting, focusing on bespoke, private label and own brands; but ASTARRI cover a range of different complementing areas & services. The portfolio includes the recognized brands Verpan and Frandsen as well as MADE SPECIFIC offering bespoke and private label lighting products.
ASTARRI was acquired in 2023 and has since then been a part of Heartland A/S. This also means that ASTARRI is on a transformative and ambitious journey and therefore the company needs a commercially orientated COO.
As the new COO, you will support the cross-brand strategy execution and ensure that ASTARRI functions as a strong and efficient shared service center where the business units can benefit from the organization within the following areas: IT, Master data, Compliance & Sustainability, Assembly & Production, Warehouse and Logistics.
More specifically, you will have the following areas of responsibility:
- Provide a strong operational foundation to support brands in realizing their strategic goals and growth plans and ensure that operational performance meets customer demands
- Optimization of internal reporting including setting up relevant KPI’s for operational performance
- Overall responsibility for:
- a competitive and cost-efficient in-house product assembly setup
- ensuring best-in-class warehousing operations and stock management
- framework and progress within compliance and management
- a cost-efficient inbound and outbound logistics setup
- Ensure progress regarding defined ESG strategy and goals
- ERP and IT development and operations including BI and master data
- Continuous dialogue with the brands and their external production partners to optimize cooperation and processes related to Sourcing, Purchasing, Product Development and Quality Management
You will be based in the office in Horsens, where you will take on the day-to-day management of the shared functions. Also, you can look forward to visiting the location in Copenhagen and to approximately 30-50 travel days a year in Europa and to Asia to establish partnerships with suppliers, customers and brands.
You will be a close sparring partner for the company's Brand owners, and you report to the CEO.
